Disc Golf

The Coyote Hills Disc Golf Course is an 18-hole course located within the beautiful 127-acre Middlesex Township Park at 50 Beagle Club Road. Developed through a partnership between the Carlisle Coyotes Disc Golf Club and the Middlesex Township Recreation Department, the course offers a unique recreational experience for players of all ages and skill levels. Featuring 18 Innova DISCatcher Pro targets, concrete tee pads, tee signs, an informational kiosk, and multiple bridges crossing Spring Run, the course is designed to provide a challenging and enjoyable round while showcasing the park’s natural beauty. The addition of the course also helped expand the park’s trail system to more than five miles.

Disc golf is played similarly to traditional golf, but instead of clubs and balls, players use specially designed discs to navigate from the tee area to a target basket in as few throws as possible. Holes vary in length and difficulty, with some stretching several hundred feet through wooded and open terrain. The sport is easy to learn, affordable to play, and provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while getting exercise. As a low-impact, environmentally friendly activity, disc golf helps promote greater use of park resources while preserving the natural landscape.

The course was primarily designed by local disc golf enthusiasts Steve Alspaugh and Bill Ledgett, with significant support from Carlisle Coyotes members, neighboring disc golf clubs, the Township, and volunteers from organizations such as the Diakon Wilderness Center. Their combined efforts transformed the property into one of the area’s premier disc golf destinations. The Carlisle Coyotes continue to support and promote the course while welcoming new players to the sport and helping them learn the game.
