   Hours of Operation 
 (Will not be open if snow covered)
 
March 1 ~ October 14:  Monday, 8am-noon
                                    Wednesday , 2pm-7pm
                                    Saturday, 8am – noon
 
October 21 ~ December 09:  Saturday only 8am – noon
 
January ~ Saturday. 8am – noon 
 
**Don’t forget ~ **Identification is REQUIRED: In order to ensure that our site is not overwhelmed by materials from outside of Middlesex & North Middleton Townships, compost users will be asked for a picture ID with a current address when using the compost facility.
 
*** The site is closed on holidays and during snowy/icy weather ***
 NOTE: If holiday falls on day that compost is normally open; compost will be closed that day.
 
Our compost material is very popular. By having the site monitored, we are able to avoid having garbage/trash in the site.. Look for mulch to be available again this spring.  Weather events may require the site to be open additional days/hours.  Should that occur information will be posted on the township’s website. 
RULES AND REGULATION
  • ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: Christmas trees, leaves, shrubs (no roots) and shrubbery clippings, branches cut into 6- foot lengths and no larger than 12 inches in diameter (if no fruit is on branches).
  • NOT  ACCEPTABLE ITEMS:     Stumps, Bamboo, ornamental grasses, grass clippings, rose bushes, flowers,  bulbs, vines of any kind, roots,  garbage, bulk items, dirt, stones, bricks, construction debris, concrete, hazardous materials, charcoal, fruits and/or vegetables, bags or containers.
  • You may ONLY dump when your load has been inspected and you have received instructions from the site attendant. The attendant has the final say as to whether you may unload or not. The attendant is not permitted to load or unload material.
  • NO bags or containers are to be left at the site.
  • IDENTIFICATION IS  REQUIRED:  In order to ensure that our site is not overwhelmed by materials from outside of Middlesex & North Middleton Townships, compost users will be asked for a PICTURE ID with a current address when using the compost facility.
  • No contractor drops off is permitted. Residents only.
  • No dumping while site is closed or unattended.
  • The site in under surveillance 24 hours a day, and you are so notified that your visit to the site will be recorded.
